Benghazi Becoming Clearer

October 26th, 2012 No comments

Fox News CIA operators were denied request for help during Benghazi attack, sources say

The more details that come out, the more disgraceful this President and his administration are proven to be.

Communication with the operators on the ground was patchy…lie.
We didn’t have a clear enough picture…lie.
Four dead Americans who needn’t have died but for the willful inaction of their “commander-in-chief”…truth.

Successful Self-defense

October 24th, 2012 No comments

A 12-year old Oklahoma girl successfully defended herself by shooting an intruder in her home. I’m sure her parents are glad they taught her how to shoot and how to access the gun.

Gun control advocates would rather have a raped, kidnapped, and/or murdered young girl than acknowledge the plain fact that self-defense is a right.

My teens know gun safety, and both shoot pretty well. I’m going to teach them how to get the gun out of my small pistol safe tonight. Their lives are worth it.

Forget who said what when. We had badly needed assets—air power and Special Forces—an hour from Benghazi, and the administration chose not to use them to support our men on the ground. President Obama got his “3 AM call” and utterly failed. He is not fit to be commander-in-chief.

This story should be leading every newscast and front-page on every paper—and would have been if it were Bush. That it’s not says everything there is to say about the bias of the media.

The truth about tax cuts

October 19th, 2012 No comments

With all the demagoguery from the Left about “tax cuts for the rich” it’s time for some real fact checking with, well…facts.

Investors Business Daily has a very clear exposition on the effect raising and lowering tax rates has on federal tax revenue—complete with the actual numbers.

Will this end the socialist talking points? Of course not, because their argument isn’t based on the facts—what would actually generate greater revenue—but on the emotional issue of “fairness”—which they can ride forever because a free economy rewards productivity so there will always be income inequality.

I am so old that I can remember when liberals were liberal—instead of being intolerant of anything and anybody that is not politically correct.

Enviro-scientists Are Confused

October 16th, 2012 No comments

Hot on the heels of the latest data debunking global warming, National Geographic has an interview with a NASA researcher whose thinking is clearly muddled.

Trying to explain why the ice off Antarctica is at record-high levels, he muses,

That’s the leading explanation for what we’re seeing…

In other words, they don’t know, but it must be really bad.

Further down he tells us growing sea ice has no effect on sea levels, and follows that up with why melting Arctic ice is bad for sea levels. But Arctic ice is sea ice. If growing sea ice has no impact, how does melting sea ice? You can’t have it both ways…unless the interviewer is on your side and/or isn’t bright enough to ask the obvious.

Repeating ad nauseum that, “It’s all consistent,” doesn’t make it so.
